**The umbilical cord was around part of Caboose's leg and the tip of his tail invitro, causing loss of blood supply to both. At about 12 days old he lost the tip of his tail and about half of his rear leg. He is in training to become a certified therapy dog with the Delta Society. He will be an ambassador to handicapped children.**
